Roland has moved from playing with this trains to playing with his cars. These cars sat at the bottom of his toy box for a long time in a plastic bucket but he has discovered them and I've added a few since last week that I had stashed away. When he saw the toys he exclaimed in his own Roland language. "Wow! A whole lot of cars"!!!!! That's the longest sentence I've heard so far. He has another cold and was feeling a bit under the weather today. Seems like his Montessori friends keep passing the same cold around. Yep, that shiny spot under his nose is indeed snot!

A Boy and a Box.
Roland is past his cold and other icky stomach bug and is back to his endless energy after a morning at Merry Montessori. I was curious what he might do with this big box. Papa Jak and Roland had a grand time playing fort. He was afraid of Woody the first time we got him a few weeks ago but eventually mustered up the courage to pull his string.

A Mix of Everyone!
I wanted a recent photograph to put on the wall but Roland is to busy to pose for a photograph so I had to ad-lib. When I look at this photograph I see a mixture of all of us, me, Kasey, Jake, La La Claudia, Grandpa Dale, Aunt Leah, Uncle Roman. He is so fortunate to be loved by so many. When he got one of his motorized trains stuck in his hair the only rescue was to chop off a lock from the front. He has such beautiful hair. At least his ears are covered in these winter months. He never liked anything on his head.

New Trains!
Roland loves his Thomas The Train train table. He can spend hours watching and arranging and rearranging his trains. He has his favorite, Reus as he says, but is actually Rheneasus. This molded table has proven to be all that it states, sturdy, fun and will accommodate the motorized Thomas and Friends engines as well as hot wheels, but we hope it will be good for Lightening McQueen and Mater too. His new favorites.
